At BestStart Pipiwai Road, we're passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where children and whānau feel right at home. Nestled just north of Kamo, our cosy rural centre offers a peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings that inspire curiosity, connection, and learning for children from as young as 3 months old.
We're looking for a friendly and organised Centre Administrator to join our team in a permanent, part-time role (20 hours per week). As the welcoming face of our centre, you'll play an important role in supporting our families, children, and teaching team while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the centre.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting families and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Supporting enrolments and welcoming new families to the centre
- Managing phone, email, and general enquiries
- Assisting with accounts, invoicing, and direct debit processes
- Maintaining accurate records, data entry, and general administration tasks
- Providing support to the teaching team when needed
About You
You'll bring:
- A warm, approachable, and professional attitude
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and administration systems
- A reliable, proactive, and team-focused approach
- Experience or confidence working with accounts and problem-solving tasks
