Description

Y Central offers after school and holiday programmes for kids from schools throughout the Wellington region. There’s now an opportunity for an experienced manager to join our team.

This is a senior position in our Y Kids Team. The core responsibilities of the position are to manage and develop the business and services related to our programmes and to lead a group of managers delivering programmes across a group of sites.

To be successful in this position, you will need to be highly motivated to make a difference in the lives of kids, and have the following skills and experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, for example teaching or management
  • At least 3 years’ experience in management and leadership, ideally in a child-centered environment, and including budget management
  • Demonstrable understanding of safeguarding practice and the professional standards and practise required to work in a child-centered environment
  • Proven experience working to audit and other compliance standards

This is a full-time position based at our Support Office in Lower Hutt but regular travel to sites across the region will be required. A full clean driver’s licence is essential for this position. Working from home flexibility will be available in accordance with our polices.

By joining the Y Central team, you will receive training and support in your role and may be eligible for discounted after school care for your child. Salary will be within the range of $65,000-$75,000, based on skills and experience.
