We’re excited to offer the opportunity to work in one of two part-time positions (20+ hours) in Wellington’s Northern Suburbs, starting early 2026.
Our positions are:
- Senior Leader (Johnsonville), 22.5 hours per week worked before and after school, Monday-Friday, all year, with the chance to work additional hours during Holiday Programmes.
- Programme Coordinator (Cashmere Ave), 27.5 hours per week worked before and after school during term time only. Additional hours may be offered across our network during Holiday Programmes.
These positions allow you to:
- Develop leadership and management skills
- Share the fun and high energy of the kids you work with
- Be part of a great team
Each day you’ll be involved in running games and activities with kids, supporting your manager with team leadership and management activities, and interacting with the wider community through parents and school staff. Of course, you’ll also need to make sure we’re providing a safe environment for the kids.
As a member of the wider Y Kids Team you’ll be involved in programme planning, and regular professional development.
Our ideal candidates for these positions will have experience working with children and have leadership potential but equally important is a desire to work in a high energy environment and make a positive difference to the kids and families of our community.
