Attendance and Alternative Education Liasion

Are you passionate about supporting young people to stay engaged in education and achieve success? We are seeking a motivated and organised professional to join our team as an Attendance and Alternative Education Liaison. This is a rewarding role where you will work closely with students, whānau, staff, and external agencies to improve attendance outcomes and support students in alternative education pathways.

About the Role In this role, you will coordinate alternative education placements and oversee attendance processes across the school. You will play a key role in supporting students who need additional pathways to succeed, while ensuring strong systems are in place to monitor and improve attendance.

• Builds strong, respectful relationships with young people and whānau
• Has excellent organisational and communication skills
• Is confident working with data and maintaining accurate records
• Can work collaboratively with staff and external agencies
• Is proactive, solution-focused, and able to manage sensitive situations with discretion
