LOCATION: Upper Hutt, Wellington
We are recruiting on behalf of our engineering client looking for a skilled Workshop Foreman / Leading Hand.
This is a genuine permanent role, not a short-term contract. If you have welding and fabrication experience, enjoy leading a team, and want long-term stability, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day to day workshop operations
- Hands-on welding & fabrication
- Supervise and motivate workshop staff
- Maintain quality, efficiency & safety
- Occasional site visits for inspections/support
- Keep workshop organised and workflow smooth
Skills & Experience
- Proven welding & fabrication background
- Previous Foreman, Leading Hand, or senior workshop experience
- Welding Inspection qualification highly desirable
- Strong leadership & people management skills
- Practical, solutions-focused, reliable, and safety conscious
