Civil/Structural Project Manager
Our client is a well-established organisation with a strong pipeline of infrastructure and building projects. They are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Project Manager to join their team on a fixed-term or contract basis to cover maternity leave.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a diverse range of projects, including roading, seismic strengthening of commercial buildings, and industrial land development.
The Role**
You will take ownership of projects end-to-end, working closely with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing civil and structural projects from planning through to completion
- Coordinating consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Administering contracts in line with NZS 3910 and related standards
- Keeping projects on track across programme, budget, and quality
- Providing practical input across both design and construction phases
- Identifying and mitigating project risks
About You**
You will come from a civil or structural engineering background and have transitioned into project management within a consultancy, contractor, or client-side environment.
Key experience includes:
- Proven experience delivering civil, structural, or infrastructure projects
- Strong working knowledge of NZS 3910 and contract administration
- Relevant tertiary qualification in civil and/or structural engineering
- Confident managing contractors and engaging with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects successfully
