About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Faultperson to join our Team in Whangarei. In this role, you will carry out alterations, repairs, and HV switching on the electricity distribution network. You'll play a critical part in ensuring safe and reliable power supply for our customers.
- Perform approved switching on network equipment for planned and unplanned situations.
- Test and earth equipment as required.
- Respond to fault calls, investigate issues, isolate problems, and restore power.
- Complete network alterations in line with standards.
- Ensure compliance with all operational, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Proactively identify and implement safety and process improvements.
- Maintain issued equipment and PPE in good working order.
- Uphold Northpower's brand and reputation through professional interactions.
About you:
- Current EWRB registration and a class 2 driver's licence.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Electrician, Cable Jointer, or Line Mechanic.
- Previous standby and switching experience (desirable).
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
