About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Commercial HVAC / Refrigeration Technician to join a well-established, international HVAC organisation renowned for innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence.
Based out of the Wellington office, this role supports a diverse portfolio of commercial clients across the region, working with some of the most sophisticated HVAC systems in the market.
About You You are a technically strong technician with proven experience working on commercial HVAC and chiller systems, such as advanced air conditioning, heat pumps, VRF, chillers, refrigeration, and HVAC building services. You take pride in your workmanship, enjoy problem-solving, and deliver outstanding service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs efficiently
- Install and commission new commercial systems
- Prepare clear fault reports, source parts, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Work independently on site while maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements and refer leads to the sales team
- Provide repair or installation estimates when required
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Trade/ Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is essential
- 4–5+ years’ commercial HVAC service experience (chiller experience preferred)
- Current EST licence is preferred (or ability to obtain one)
- Knowledge of chilled & heating water systems and boilers (advantageous)
- Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
- Full NZ working rights
