As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be right in the thick of it, leading from the front and making sure work is planned, resourced and delivered safely. This is a hands-on leadership role where you may lead multiple operational crews while staying close to the work on site. You'll help drive Good Work every day by keeping standards high, backing your team, and making sure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to spec.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Lead and support frontline crews to deliver maintenance work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Coordinate people, plant and materials so planned work is ready to go and completed on time.
  • Manage safe work environments for employees, subcontractors and the public across your sites.
  • Hold and take part in pre-starts, identify hazards, and make sure the right controls are in place before work begins.
  • Deliver strong service to customers and stakeholders while maintaining quality, productivity and environmental standards.
  • Grow and develop your team by providing clear direction, practical support and leadership on site.
  • Ensure all work is programmed, completed and claimed through our AWM system.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We're looking for someone with

  • A current Class 1 drivers' licence.
  • Experience using AWM (Asset & Work Manager), formerly known as RAMM (Roading Asset Maintenance Management)
  • Class 2 with Wheels Tracks and Rollers endorsements or the willingness to gain them with our support.
  • A current First Aid certificate or ability to obtain one with our support.
  • Proven experience leading crews in a maintenance, civil, construction or similar operational environment.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and doing the job right the first time.
  • A practical, proactive approach and confidence working outdoors in a hands-on environment.
  • The ability to motivate others, build strong working relationships and keep work moving.
  • A down-to-earth attitude, pride in your work, and a genuine team-first mindset.

He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits

  • Parental leave top up payment with additional return to work support.
  • Ongoing training and development, with clear career growth and progression opportunities.
  • Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.
  • Use of company vehicle including weekends.

Ko wai mātou | About us

At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is more than what we deliver. It's how we show up, how we treat each other, and how we keep moving forward together. We're a friendly team where ideas matter more than titles, and where people back each other to do their best work. We take the work seriously, not ourselves, and when it counts, we switch on and deliver to a high standard.

Fulton Hogan is an integrated infrastructure, construction and services business working across New Zealand and Australia. We partner with clients and communities to design, build, operate and maintain critical assets - from bitumen and quarries to roads, water and energy. Our people are united by a simple purpose: to create, connect and care for communities, while reducing environmental impact and supporting more sustainable futures.

Me pēhea te tono | How to apply

If you're keen to lead from the front, build strong crews and do Good Work that makes a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

We’re proud of where we’ve come from and excited about where we’re heading. What sets us apart is how we work. We’re not big on hierarchy, and we don’t hide behind titles. If you’ve got a good idea, we want to hear it. You’ll work with people who are approachable, capable and willing to roll up their sleeves alongside you.

The culture here is down-to-earth, collaborative and genuine. You’ll be trusted to do your job, supported to grow and backed by a team that knows how to work hard, help each other out and keep things real. We set high standards, stay focused when it matters, and make space for people to be themselves.

We’re always looking ahead – finding better ways to work, solving real problems and creating opportunities for our people to learn, develop and make an impact. If you want meaningful work, real responsibility and a team you’ll be proud to be part of, you’ll fit right in.
