About Secair CAS Secair is a professional compressor enterprise with over 47 years of history. The company’s main products consist of screw air compressors, air treatment systems (dryers, filtrations etc.) nitrogen generation & air reticulation. Screw compressors comprise of those with power ranging from 4kW to 450kW, and cover motor power, diesel power, single stage screw compressor and double-stage compression screw compressor. About the role Secair CAS requires the services of a competent mechanical tradesperson. Based in Penrose and servicing the greater Auckland regional area, this person may currently be employed as a car, truck or heavy equipment mechanic, a mechanical fitter, or similar trade qualified person who has a way with hand tools. You would be a confident self-starter with the right attitude who is keen to learn, focused on delivering quality service and productive whilst working efficiently with minimal direct supervision. Driving late model field service vans, factory trained, and supported by a team of experienced technicians and staff, you would soon develop the skills to become a recognized Compressed Air Technician.
Responsibilities Providing best in class service and customer support during field visits or workshop-based maintenance activities you would manage all aspects of on-site service, repair, and preventative maintenance, to ensure that customer equipment operates from "one service to the next" without fault. Your mechanical ability and experience will allow you to diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions with minimal supervision.
Qualifications To be successful in the position, you would need to:
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be trade / tertiary qualified in a mechanical-based field or industry.
- Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
- Have a full, unrestricted NZ drivers license.
- Available for intra-region service work, which may require overnight stays.
