Description

We are looking for a talented Project Engineer to help shape the future of our client's wastewater and civil infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of forward work and a growing regional presence, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company on the rise and play a key role in delivering essential community assets.

About the Role: As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning, delivery, and execution of wastewater and civil construction projects throughout Queenstown and the wider Southern Lakes region. You’ll be joining a versatile team and will be heavily involved in technical design input, construction monitoring, contractor coordination, and ensuring project milestones are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of wastewater and civil projects, including WWTP upgrades, pump station construction, pipelines, and associated infrastructure
  • Provide technical engineering support throughout design and construction phases
  • Monitor project progress, quality, health & safety, and compliance standards
  • Prepare project documentation including reports, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, local authorities, and internal teams
  • Travel to sites across the wider Southern Lakes area as required

About You: You’ll bring a solid foundation of engineering experience—someone who is adaptable, practical, and confident working in a dynamic project environment.

You will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in civil or wastewater engineering
  • Experience in construction of WWTPs, pump stations, pipelines, or similar infrastructure (preferred)
  • A broad, well-rounded civil engineering skill set
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the region
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of an expanding company with a strong forward workload
  • Work on meaningful infrastructure projects in one of New Zealand’s most iconic regions
  • Supportive team culture with opportunities for career development and advancement
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits

If you're ready to take the next step in your engineering career and contribute to high-impact projects in the stunning Southern Lakes area, we’d love to hear from you.
