About Our Role:

  • St Joseph's Lifecare, located in Beautiful Upper Hutt, Wellington
  • Permanent Full-Time (32 hours or more per week)
  • Hourly rate between $28.91-$31.23 per hour
  • AM, PM, Night and weekend shifts

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Caregiver with a passion for caring for others, to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents. You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
  • Minimum NZQA Level 3 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing) is desirable.
  • Dementia experience desirable.
  • At least two-year experience as a caregiver or similar role.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
