Make a difference in an older person's daily life working as a Health Care Assistant.

The Role

You'll put your practical skills and compassion into supporting residents with everyday activities such as personal care, assistance at mealtimes, and general care duties that make for happier, healthier living at an Enliven home. You will work hard, but there are few jobs that will give you the immense satisfaction of working for people who are grateful for your help and who contribute to an enriching working environment.

Hours: Permanent, part-time. Please state which position/s you are interested in your cover letter.

Position 1: 7hrs/day to be worked 0700-1430hrs as rostered, 4 on 2 off.

Position 2: 50.50 hours per fortnight to be worked as outlined below

  • Week one: 0700-1430hrs (7hrs/day) on Wednesday and 1500-2245hrs (7.25hrs/day) on Thursday and Friday.
  • Week two: 1500-2245hrs (7.25hrs/day) on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday

About You

The ideal applicant will:

  • Be empathetic, compassionate, and patient
  • Work well in a team
  • Enjoy working alongside older people
  • Be physically fit and strong
  • Have enthusiasm and a sense of humour
  • Experience in an aged care environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Our services for older people are provided by Enliven. We create elder-centered communities where older people have companionship, meaningful activity, purpose, and fun in their lives. We strive for a family like environment for both residents and their loved ones.

Situated in the beautiful Alexandra, Ranui is home to 48 residents who are supported at hospital, rest home, and dementia level care. Castlewood is home to 20 residents who are supported at rest home level care. Our 4-year MOH certification is a testament to our quality of systems, processes, and living & working environments.
