What does a Support Worker do?|He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko
You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives to achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless!
This is a part time role starting at 24.5 hours of work per week Monday to Friday

Who are we looking for? | Ko wai tā tātou e rapu ana
We’re looking for people who genuinely care about others and are passionate about making a difference. You’ll bring a kind, patient, and understanding approach, along with strong communication skills.
Ideally, you’ll have experience in a healthcare setting, particularly working with rangatahi, and an understanding of intellectual disability and autism. Experience supporting people with seizures would be a bonus.
You’ll also need a full driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys supporting others to grow—helping them build skills, achieve their goals, and live life their way. You’re proactive, energetic, and not afraid to think outside the box. You respect different perspectives and support people in a way that reflects their individual choices and lifestyles.
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
