The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
- 6 month fixed term role working 32 hours per week on our awake nights - Wednesday, Thursday , Friday and Saturday, 11pm- 7.30am. Theres no set location as you'll be working across our various services in Christchurch.
- Support individuals experiencing mental health distress by focusing on each individuals needs, utilise trauma informed care, provide culturally safe practice and role‑model and embed our values.
- Complete relevant administrative tasks such as comprehensive notes and effective handover
- While whai ora are sleeping you'll complete tasks such as cleaning and maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits and preparation of paperwork. Once everythings completed you'll be able to study.
About You | Mōu
- New Zealand Certificate (Level 4 ) in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent).
- A full New Zealand drivers licence
- Hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
- Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand. This role is not supported under the AEWV.
Te Ao Māori capability
- Comfortable working within a Māori context, with familiarity in Te Reo Māori and tikanga
- Committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice
