NZCL is looking for energetic and motivated Casual Support Workers to work alongside, coach, and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services in Wellington.
This role focuses on providing intensive, child-focused support in a specialist setting. As a Casual Support Worker, your days and hours will vary depending on service needs, including providing cover for sick leave and annual leave. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to pick up shifts that fit around your lifestyle while still delivering consistent, high-quality support.

What does a Support Worker do? | He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko
Our Support Workers assist rangatahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. You will:
- Work as part of a team to ensure consistency in your approach
- Support tamariki and rangatahi to attend school or access education
- Observe and respond to health concerns, supporting overall health and wellbeing
- Support rangatahi/young people to work towards and achieve their goals and improve outcomes

Who are we looking for? | Ko wai ta tatou e rapu ana
- A desire to support our rangitahi / young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential, including experience with young people/rangitahi.
- A Level 3 qualification in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent) is required
- An understanding of Intellectual Disability and Autism.
- Creativity 'out of the box' thinking and a team player.
- A full NZ driver's license.
