What you'll be doing

Here at Ascot Park Care, we are looking for a full time compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. You will use all your nursing and people skills to provide compassionate, high quality care.

The successful candidate will work a minimum 32 hours per week - 7.75 hour shifts across any given 24 hour period (including night shift). Key attributes include:

  • Excellent clinical skills ideally with aged care experience
  • InterRAI experience coupled with experience in reviewing and developing care plans
  • Someone who will take ownership of their clinical practice and enjoys being part of a steady, reliable team
  • Leadership skills displaying proven direction and delegation
  • Sound clinical judgement and the ability to manage clinical decisions
  • Calm organised approach to managing workload and meet organisational objectives
  • Attention to detail and good verbal and written communications shills
  • Confidence in medication management and wound care
  • Ability to support the senior management team

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge Required:

  • Current practicing certificate issued by the NZ Nursing Council
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Computer literacy and interRAI experience
  • Experience and understanding of Human Resource processes
  • To understand the requirements of the Health & Disability Sector Standards
  • Have a working knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement Principles
  • To understand budgetary principles and management of resources.
