Location: Wellington Regional Hospital

Contract: Permanent, part-time (0.4 FTE)

About the Role

Our Registered Medical Officer (RMO) Coordinator provides administration support to our Senior and Junior doctors (RMO's), and is responsible for developing and overseeing the RMO rosters, ensuring they are consistent, transparent and accurate. Support is provided across the region, while also working collaboratively with National RMO groups and other Districts to ensure that the best and most effective approaches to RMO Coordination are being utilised.

This role will work 16 hours per week and the days and hours worked can be negotiated with the successful candidate. The full salary range is $76,705 - $84,754 pro-rata.

About the Team/Service Location

The RMO Unit facilitates linkages between and provides support for all those involved in RMO management functions across the sub regional hospitals. Our focus is to provide a strategic overview of the RMO workforce, while also ensuring the consistency of management practices and the provision of employment agreement compliance. We actively encourage and promote open communication between clinical and operational management, with a key part of our unit assisting managers with RMO leave, management and RMO reimbursements. Our team in Wellington are part of a wider RMO Unit, with an office in the Hutt Hospital as well.

About you

You will need to bring a can-do attitude and the ability to juggle a heavy workload as this role works in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. With outstanding customer service skills, and confidence in using Microsoft applications, we are looking for someone who can really hit the ground running and get things done. If you are able to prioritise and evaluate your workload to ensure things are done in a timely manner then we would love to hear from you.
