About the Role
We are looking for Sonographers to join our experienced team at Auckland City Hospital. These are permanent, full-time positions, although part-time applicants may be considered. This role would be ideal for someone with general ultrasound experience as you will be working across all modalities general, vascular, paediatric and Obgyn. As a facility that provides primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary healthcare we can offer the opportunity to:
- Expand on your current experience or support you to develop new skills.
- Acute general service with extensive vascular exposure
- Emergency Ultrasound
- General department with some exposure to MSK
- Paediatric ultrasound
- Obstetrics inclusive of high risk
- Neonatal
- Provide high quality diagnostic imaging to enable exceptional health care to be delivered across the organisation
- Contribute to clinical review and case conference meetings as appropriate
- Support supervision of trainees Sonographers and Registrars
- Develop effective teamwork and collaborative relationships within our interdisciplinary team
- Maintain standards of practice, protocols and policies inclusive of ultrasound worksheets within the department

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team is made up of passionate sonographers who are committed to providing high quality ultrasound imaging. We work across all three Te Toka Tumai sites offering the full scope of ultrasound practice across inpatient and outpatient settings.

About you
This role will require you to hold:
- Registration with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZ) or eligible for this and in process of obtaining
- Post Graduate Diploma in Ultrasound or DMU (ASUM) or NZ registered equivalent
You will also have a:
- Sound understanding of professional ethics
- Ability to prioritise workflow and urgency of patients
- A commitment to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
