He angitūtanga / The opportunity:
As Chef De Partie, you'll prepare, cook, and serve high-quality food in line with Emirates Lounge standards. You'll support the Executive Chef in kitchen operations, compliance, and team development, ensuring excellence in every dish and a seamless culinary experience for guests. This is a Casual position where hours of work are "as and when" required basis upon business needs. Therefore, you MUST be available during weekends.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Prepare and present food to high standards, aligned with Compass Group culinary best practices.
- Monitor food safety, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and operational improvements.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain productivity and quality.
- Stay current with culinary trends and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
- NZQA Level 4 Cookery Certificate or equivalent trade qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with proven expertise.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Flexible, professional, and able to perform under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and OH&S practices; Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) preferred.
