He angitūtanga / The opportunity: We are looking for a talented Chef to join our team at Strata Lounge, Auckland Airport. In this role, you’ll prepare and present high-quality meals that elevate the guest experience. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and wider team to deliver exceptional food service in a premium lounge setting, ensuring every dish meets our high standards and exceeds customer expectations. This is a Casual Position where hours of work are on " as and when" required basis upon business needs. Successful candidates MUST be available to work during weekends.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes including meat, seafood, vegetables, and baked goods.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness across all kitchen areas.
• Receive, store, and rotate supplies while assisting with stock control and ordering.
• Develop menus that cater to special dietary and cultural requirements.
• Coach and support team members while working collaboratively with colleagues and customers.

He kōrero mōu / About you:

• Proven experience cooking in a similar hospitality or catering environment.
• NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
• Physically fit, reliable, and committed to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Able to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and a team-focused mindset.
