As our People Systems Lead, you'll be the one making sure our HR tech ecosystem isn't just "working," but is actually working for us. You'll explore how AI and smart automation can take the "heavy lifting" out of HR processes, making life easier and more intuitive for every person at Trade Me. Your first priority will be to lead a comprehensive health check of our current landscape, build the business case for our future state, and then drive the ongoing evolution of our people tech.
Here is what you can expect from this role:
- Lead a full-scale audit of our People systems, delivering a future-state roadmap that tells us whether we should double down on our current tools or shift to something new
- Beyond the initial audit, you'll be our resident expert on emerging tech, finding clever and ethical ways to use AI to kill off manual admin and streamline the employee lifecycle
- You'll own the long-term vision for our People systems, ensuring they stay fit-for-purpose
- You'll constantly look for ways to make our processes leaner and more automated, partnering closely with the wider P&C team to ensure our data flows are secure and smart
- You'll manage our external vendor partnerships
- You'll make sure the wider business knows how to get the most out of our tools by providing the guidance and training needed to keep things running smoothly
- As the guardian of our data integrity, you'll ensure everything is compliant, secure, and accurate
- You'll act as a technical sounding board and coach for our People Operations & Systems Advisor and People Team Coordinator, helping them level up their system skills
- Ultimately, you'll help us build an environment where technical expertise meets human-centered design-making sure our tech always serves our people
What you will bring to our team:
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level HRIS (if you know Cornerstone/Tupu, that's a win)
- The ability to look past the daily tickets to see how systems impact our culture and the bottom line
- A genuine excitement about where AI is going and an eagerness to apply it to real-world HR challenges
- A track record of leading technical reviews and building business cases that stakeholders can get behind
- Proficiency in diagnosing system gaps or integration glitches and fixing them for the long term
- Great listening skills and the ability to translate complex tech talk into plain English for your stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage external vendor partnerships and lead technical projects effectively
