HR Reporting & Insights Analyst

We are looking for an HR Reporting & Analytics Analyst for a 12 month fixed term contract to play a foundational role in establishing our people analytics function. Role can be based in any of our offices; Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch.

This is an unique opportunity to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights that enable our People & Culture team and business leaders to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

Here is what you can expect from this role:

• You are a data storyteller who can translate complex datasets into a clear "so what?"
• You'll design and deliver automated, reliable dashboards (Attrition, Engagement, DEI, Performance) that become the heartbeat of our decision-making
• You won't just hand over spreadsheets. You'll partner with Business Partners to perform deep-dive "root-cause" analyses on critical issues like retention drivers and workforce engagement
• You'll explore and implement AI-centric tools to automate workflows and uncover insights that traditional HR reporting misses
• Your goal is to establish a sustainable analytics process, upskilling the wider P&C team to maintain a data-led culture long after the initial setup

What you will bring to our team:

• 5+ years in Data Analytics (HR, People Analytics, or Business Intelligence preferred)
• Proficiency with data visualisation tools and HRIS reporting. Experience with GSuite is a plus
• An understanding of how data flows between systems and how to structure it for automation
• A meticulous approach to ensuring data integrity and resolving inconsistencies through root-cause analysis
• A genuine interest and drive in how AI and new technologies can revolutionise traditional HR workflows
• The ability to translate complex data sets into a clear actionable narrative
• We value confidentiality, proactive problem-solving, and a "solution-oriented" mindset
• An appreciation and understanding of the need for confidentiality in dealing with all HR data
• The confidence to partner with senior HR leaders and challenge assumptions with data
• The ability to work across multiple HR systems and cope with business complexity (GSuite experience preferred)
