The role as a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will be the critical bridge between our business stakeholders, Insights Analysts, and Data Engineers. You will work alongside a business-focused team to close the data knowledge gap and accelerate the delivery of analytics transformation outcomes.
This is a hands-on role where you will not only capture requirements but also get involved in prototyping solutions using SQL, Python and GenAI.
What You’ll Do

Innovate & Solution Design: Scope and deliver optimised Group-first solutions and drive NZ-led innovation opportunities, including GenAI prototyping
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the translator between business definitions and technical execution, bridging the knowledge gap between Insights Analysts and Data Engineers

- Pipeline Development: Work with engineers to define business and data requirements for new pipelines, ensuring data is available in the right production environments within the A&I Data Platform

- Quality & Governance: Champion data quality by undertaking data profiling, testing, and reconciliation activities. You will also create high-quality documentation and data flow diagrams

Who We’re Looking For
You are a detail-oriented problem solver with a blend of technical and commercial skills. You have a curious mindset, especially regarding the potential of AI tools, and 5-7 years of commercial experience in Data or Analysis.
- Technical Stack: Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python, BigQuery are essential
