We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Tauriko. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, efficient mechanical maintenance to minimise downtime and support optimal plant performance.
This role includes rotating on-call duties, with a competitive call-out allowance and travel reimbursement provided.
About the Role
- Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
- Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs efficiently
- Support continuous improvement and plant reliability
- Work safely at all times, aligning with site procedures and standards
- Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- (e.g. cement, steel, dairy, plastics, pulp & paper)
- Level 4 Engineering Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Safety-focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Clear communicator who works well with plant and operations personnel
