About the Role
We are currently looking for a Machine Operator and Warehouse Operator to join our client based in Takanini in Auckland. The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday 06:00AM - 04:30PM (8 hours a day between that timeframe). This is a long-term, permanent role for the right person. Please note this role will be operating machinery within a warehousing environment, therefore you will also be expected to take on warehousing duties as part of your role. You will report to the National Warehouse Manager and will work alongside a team. Duties could include:
- Operating machinery on-site such as a slitter machine and guillotine
- Operating a Forklift Truck as well as a Reach Truck
- Picking and packing orders
- Devanning containers
- Putting stock away in the warehouse
- Loading and wrapping pallets
- Completing local customer deliveries using the company van
- Operating other machinery on-site a few hours a week
- Regularly lifting 20kgs of product
- Loading and unloading trucks
Skills and Experience
- You must have a valid Forklift license
- You will ideally have Reach Truck experience and a license
- At least 1 year experience operating a forklift truck
- Experience operating machinery in a production/factory environment is preferrable
- Good communication and be able to work alone and in a team
- Thorough with good attention to detail
- Able to regularly lift 20kgs
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Keen attitude to learn and get involved
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
