Join our production crew and get hands-on with the filling, handling, and refurbishing and testing of gas cylinders. This is a specialist role where no two days are the same – if you enjoy physical work, variety, and being part of a supportive team, read on.
About the Role Based at our busy Penrose Operations Centre, you’ll work as part of our Compressed Operations team, making sure our gas cylinders are safely filled, maintained, and ready to go out to customers.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Filling and refurbishing a variety of BOC cylinders (including medical gases)
- Handling cylinders – loading/unloading, moving between areas, and preparing for dispatch
- Completing pressure checks, filling logs, and basic analysis work (we’ll teach you everything)
- Operating equipment and following written procedures
- Working safely and following all health, safety, and quality standards
- Picking and packing orders and assisting with stock management
Shift work is Monday to Friday, with two rotating shifts (morning & afternoon) covering 7am–11pm. Optional overtime and occasional Saturday shifts available.
What We’re Looking For
- We're after someone reliable, hands-on, and comfortable in an industrial environment.
- You’ll ideally have:
- A forklift licence (or be willing to get one)
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing or warehousing
- Confidence using basic computer systems and following procedures
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- The ability to work on your feet all day – this role is physically demanding Most importantly – you turn up, have a good attitude, and are keen to learn.
