About the Role
You will be responsible for working as a team to contribute to the manufacturing of concrete pipes and pre-cast construction. Your day will consist of the following duties:
- Manufacturing concrete pipe
- Stripping the mould and putting it back together again
- Working in a team to operate the machinery
- Preparing, assembling, checking and cleaning moulds
- Performing quality checks on products
- Pouring concrete
- You are expected to report all incidents and near misses
- Eventually you will be operating the large machines that manufacture the pipes
You will be guaranteed 8 hours per day (starting from 6am or 6:30am). Each day and its requirements are different and therefore the shift may exceed those 8 hours (sometimes you will be working until 4:30pm). This roster is Monday - Friday based, however there is potential overtime on a Saturday at the moment due to the workload. This role starts out as a temporary role, however it is with a view to go permanent as soon as you've found your feet and made the role your own. Please note this is a physical role and will involve you being on your feet all day, therefore it is essential that you are physically able. You will be surrounded by a fun, energetic and supportive team.
Skills & Experience
Due to the nature of the role, to be successful in this role you will need:
- To be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- A great attitude and willingness to learn
- Want to turn up to work every day
- To possess excellent and clear communication skills
- To be enthusiastic and reliable
- Must be able to work in a team
- If you have experience in steel fixing that would be an advantage
- A forklift license would be an advantage, but it's not essential
