Senior Sawmill Operators

Mitchpine Limited is a family-owned and operated business located in Horowhenua. We are a major supplier of outdoor timber products delivering throughout NZ and are known for the quality of our products and our excellent customer service.

We are seeking full-time permanent Senior Sawmill Operators who will be responsible for operating the table and machinery to reach production targets with the best quality and least wastage as possible.

We are seeking applications from people who can:

• Assist the Foreman with organising and coordinating Mill operations to meet daily production targets and order requirements.
• Support delivery of quality output with minimal waste and strong attention to recovery, accuracy, and appearance.
• Troubleshoot issues and carry out basic maintenance; liaise with maintenance staff to keep equipment running.
• Help train, motivate, and organise staff to minimise downtime and build a positive team culture.
• Complete accurate daily documentation (bundle tallies, volumes, and reports) and help streamline templates.
• Champion health and safety by following site procedures, reporting hazards, and keeping the work area clean and safe. What we are looking for:

• High attention to detail, accurate paperwork, and solid time management.

Previous experience is preferable
