About Us:
Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is an international forest and wood products company operating in local and global timber markets. JNL owns three wood processing plants in the North Island, and forests in the Wairarapa and East Coast regions. We work closely with our parent company in Japan – WoodOne.
The Role:
We are seeking a temporary Stores Coordinator to join our team at our Mill in Masterton. You will be part of a small team working closely with our procurement, production and maintenance teams to ensure that all stores functions are operated and maintained efficiently through planning and scheduling. You will support manufacturing to ensure no stock outs and assist with the standardisation of stores processes and systems in collaboration with other Stores Coordinators across JNL.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on a fixed‑term contract for about six months.
Key Responsibilities:
Align Stores planning with the JNL business plan, in line with JNL objectives
Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers
Ensure the safety and security of the store items to prevent loss due to theft or wastage
Maintain minimum stock levels for critical inventory items and ensuring overstocking is minimised
Maintain high level of housekeeping within the stores area
Attend to inward and outward goods within the stores control
Process invoices, packing slips & purchase orders
Purchase stock items and make them available to staff on a timely basis
Qualifications and Experience:
A full current driver's licence
A good working knowledge of MSOffice
The ability to learn new systems quickly
Good general computer literacy and numeracy skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous stores experience and a mechanical aptitude (/electrical knowledge would be a definite advantage but not essential)
NZ Residency or a valid NZ Work Visa
