General Manager - Kitchen Cabinet & Joinery Company Are you an experienced leader with a background in joinery, cabinetry, or manufacturing? We're looking for a skilled and motivated General Manager to lead the daily operations of a busy kitchen cabinet company and drive growth, quality, and performance across the business.
About the Role: This is a key leadership position overseeing all aspects of production, people, and project delivery. You'll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, and supporting a positive, productive team culture. Your role will involve strategic planning, staff management, client relations, and continuous improvement across manufacturing, installation, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production, workflow, and project delivery timelines
- Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled team of joiners, installers, and admin staff
- Ensure quality standards and health & safety compliance are maintained
- Manage budgets, purchasing, and operational efficiency
- Work closely with clients, builders, and designers to ensure projects meet expectations
- Identify areas for growth, innovation, and business improvement
What We're Looking For:
- Proven management or leadership experience in the joinery, cabinetry, or manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of joinery production and installation processes
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive, accountable team culture
- Confident in scheduling, workflow management, and client liaison
- Trade qualification or background in joinery or cabinetry (preferred)
