As a Yard & Drive Thru Team Member at PlaceMakers Silverdale you'll be the trusted expert our trade customers rely on. Working across our yard and drive-thru areas, you'll provide hands-on support and assistance, deliver tailored product advice, load vehicles and help to create a customer experience that keeps them coming back.
- Assist & recommend products that suit the needs and preferences of every customer
- Pick, assemble, and process orders and transactions
- Load and unload customer vehicles, delivery vans, and supplier trucks
- Support dispatch and coordinate daily deliveries
- Monitor inventory levels, complete cycle counts and stock replenishment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard through general housekeeping
- Operate a Forklift
Permanent full-time role based at PlaceMakers Silverdale offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays
About You: To succeed in this role, you'll be someone who's friendly, dependable, and physically fit. You'll be ready to jump in whenever needed and always put customers at the heart of everything you do.
- Strong work ethic and an approachable, down-to-earth attitude
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling
- Full NZ Class 1 drivers' licence is essential
- Forklift experience is preferred; an F endorsement is desirable
- Previous experience in a similar customer-facing yard or warehousing role
- Knowledge of building products or the construction industry is desirable
