Looking to make an impact before the year ends? We're on the hunt for a skilled HVAC Technician to join a high-performing team in Grenada North, Wellington. This short-term role runs through to Christmas, with the possibility of extension for the right person. If you're hands-on, safety-focused, and keen to work on something a bit different-like trains-this could be your next move.
We want to hear from you if you have experience in:
- HVAC systems servicing and repair
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding
- Rail or heavy vehicle maintenance (preferred)

About the role:
- Overhauling, repairing and testing HVAC components on rail vehicles
- Following detailed drawings, task instructions, and safety procedures
- Documenting all work completed, including testing outcomes
- Reporting any non-conforming components or tooling
- Suggesting design improvements to enhance product performance
- Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
- Supporting wider service and operational needs as required
About you:
- Trade Certificate in Engineering (mechanical or electrical) or equivalent experience
- Valid motor vehicle driver's licence
- Gas handling ticket (essential)
- Bonus if you hold: Forklift licence, First Aid/CPR/AED, Fire extinguisher training, Gantry crane and Rigger certificates
