MIG Welder

• $30-$32 per hour
• Monday to Friday day shift in Te Rapa
• January start but MUST apply now before Christmas shut down

We need TWO experienced MIG Welders/Fabricators to work for our client in a modern factory producing custom-engineered parts.

What youll be doing:

• MIG welding and fabricating mild-steel components and framing
• Working with steel from approx. 1.6mm 5mm+ thickness depending on job requirements
• Reading and working from drawings/specifications
• Completing quality checks to ensure accuracy, strength, and alignment
• General workshop duties, cutting, grinding, prepping, and finishing work

What were looking for:

• Proven MIG welding experience (ticketed or strong on-the-tools ability)
• Confident welding mild steel, galvanised steel, and structural components
• Ability to read drawings or confidently measure/cut to spec
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well in a team
• Forklift or workshop experience an advantage but not essential

You MUST have eligibility to work in NZ, no student Visas or overseas applications due to the ongoing nature this role may offer. All candidates must have a clean criminal check and proven work history as a MIG WELDER!
