Carpenter – Formworks and Finishing

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters for multiple projects across the South Island. These roles involve a mix of civil, commercial, and interior works, including formwork, structural framing, and finishing carpentry.

You will be working from plans and specifications to deliver high-quality workmanship across a range of active construction sites, with immediate starts available for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities *Construct, install, and finish structures and fixtures in accordance with plans and specifications *Carry out formwork carpentry for civil and roading projects *Install steel stud and timber framing systems *Complete interior fit-outs including partitions, ceilings, and finishing work *Measure, cut, and assemble materials to required specifications *Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site health & safety requirements

What We’re Looking For *Minimum 3 years’ verifiable carpentry experience *Experience in at least one of the following: *Civil formwork carpentry *Commercial construction *Interior fit-outs *Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings *Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team *Good understanding of site health & safety practices

Requirements *Must pass pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing *Own basic hand tools preferred *Reliable transport to and from site *Valid working rights in New Zealand (Citizen, Resident, or appropriate Work Visa) *Ability to provide relevant work references

What We Offer *Full-time, ongoing work (minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed) *$30 to $35 per hour rate based on experience *Opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the South Island *Supportive team environment and consistent pipeline of work
