Join a team of 24 doing what we love – producing great quality product at the famous Clarence Street prices.
The Role:
- Break down whole carcasses (Beef, Pork, Lamb, Goat), and further process into the cuts and products people love
- Requires early starts, and one day of the weekend.
- Physically demanding work, in a chilled environment.
What are we looking for?
- Experienced, qualified Butcher with knowledge of all aspects of a retail Butchery department.
- Must be able to break down carcass of beef, pork, lamb and goat, with minimal waste. Experience with sausages preferred.
- Proven experience using butchery equipment including Bandsaw, Mincer, and Slicer; adhering to safety SOP's and Food Control plans.
- Must hold a NZ certificate in Trade Butchery
- Record of reliability and punctuality, with a sense of urgency to achieve quality results in a fast paced environment, shown by proven ability to meet challenging KPI's
- Strong communication, and ability to support others working as part of a team
Final remuneration is dependent on qualification/proven experience.
