Experienced Butcher

We are currently seeking an Experienced Butcher to join our team based in the Bay of Plenty.

You will become part of a 200-strong local team, and a wider community of 22,000 Foodies across the Foodstuffs North Island Co-operative. We've proudly served the Tauranga community for nine years and are well established at Tauranga Crossing, Tauriko.

We are looking for someone who is:

• An experienced knife hand or butcher, or a recently qualified butcher ready to grow in the trade
• Skilled at working both within a team environment and unsupervised
• Able to produce high-quality meat products
• Customer-focused with strong food safety awareness
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic
• Knowledgeable and passionate about the butchery trade

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Breaking, boning, slicing, and cutting all carcasses and meats for sale
• Ensuring full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements
• Assisting with traying, presentation, and preparation of meat products
• Maintaining high standards with strong attention to detail
