Team Lead: Millennium Cleaning and Security Full Time – Christchurch (Hornby)

This is a Fixed Term role, covering Parental Leave from 10 March 2026-19 October 2026

About the Role We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Team Lead to oversee our Cleaning and Security Operations.
Full time 42.5 hours/week across Monday-Friday.
The shifts are: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri ………. 7am-4pm and Thu11am- 8pm.
You must be available for all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and coach the Security and Cleaning teams
• Coordinate daily operational tasks to ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment
• Monitor and report on safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards
• Resolve issues quickly and effectively, using sound judgement
• Liaise with centre management, contractors, retailers, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

What You’ll Bring

• Proven Team Lead or Supervisory experience within Cleaning & Security Operations, or a similarly align industry.
• Confidence in managing people, performance, and daily operational activity
• A positive attitude and an open mind to learning the commercial cleaning side of a large retail site
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and customer service
• The ability to remain calm, professional, and solution focused under pressure

You will need:

• A Permanent and Current Certificate of Approval ( COA )
• Experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Managing people
• Skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent English speaking ability - as all communications are in English only.
• Have a FULL Driver License.
• Pass and maintain a Ministry of Justice check.
