As we continue to grow our design–build–construct capability, we are creating a new role within our Hastings branch for a motivated and experienced Registered Electrician who’s ready for the next step in their career.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys industrial electrical work but also wants to expand into scoping, design, pricing, and project development, all while staying connected to hands-on field work.
About the Role:
In this newly created position, you will:
- Visit sites to scope electrical, control, pumping, and irrigation system requirements
- Work closely with our Sales/Design Engineers to develop robust pumping, irrigation, control, and electrical solutions
- Assist with the design and pricing of electrical systems for water, pumping, irrigation, and industrial applications
- Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Work alongside, and learn from, our existing in-house electrician and wider technical team
- Contribute to high-quality project delivery within our design–build–construct workflow
This role offers the rare opportunity to blend technical field work with office-based electrical design and project development, ideal for an electrician ready to broaden their skill set.
About You:
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Are a Registered Electrician with 2–5 years of post-qualification experience
- Have strong practical experience in industrial, pumping, irrigation, or controls-related electrical work
- Enjoy problem solving, thinking ahead, and designing systems that work in the real world
- Communicate well and work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Are keen to step into a role that includes scoping, quoting, and design input
- Want to continue building technical and business skills while staying active in the field
- Have a strong customer focus and take pride in delivering quality solutions
The role will involve working with pumps, VSDs, telemetry, PLCs, and any experience you have in this area will be a benefit to your application.
