About Us: Solar Power NZ is a small but growing team passionate about helping electrify Aotearoa New Zealand. We install solar power systems on both residential and commercial buildings with a good mix of microinverters, string inverters and off-grid systems.

We like to have fun while we work, but focus on doing high quality installations and improving systems as we go, both on and off the roof.

About the role: You will be installing solar power systems, batteries, EV chargers and other associated equipment on homes and business in Christchurch and the surrounding areas. A variety of work and plenty of challenges. Occasional out of town travel with daily away rates.

What you’ll do:

Install solar PV systems both on grid and off-grid Install battery systems Install EV chargers Communicate with customers and the rest of the team to oversee installations Innovate and problem solve where needed Follow New Zealand electrical regulations and engage in training as required

What we’re looking for:

Current NZ electrical registration and practising license, min. 3 years qualified Experience in solar and battery installations, not essential but preferred Excellent communication skills Physically fit and keen to work on and around roofs, lift solar panels etc. A motivated team player, keen to learn and grow A future leader Quality focused with an attention to detail Working at Heights and SiteSafe certification
