Electrician or Electrical Supervisor - Commercial & Industrial Projects (Queenstown) Hays Recruitment is partnering with a well-established electrical company based in Queenstown that is expanding its team. Specialising in commercial electrical projects, the company is now also taking on industrial work and is seeking either a Registered Electrician or an Electrical Supervisor, depending on experience.

The Role:

  • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Work may include commercial and industrial control systems - experience in controls will be advantageous.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Supervisor Duties:

  • Oversee and coordinate electrical projects and site activities.
  • Lead and support a team of electricians to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be EWRB registered.
  • Must have valid work rights in New Zealand.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work is preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is desirable for the supervisor role.
