Electrical BIM Designer / Coordinator

Caldwell and Levesque is a well-established electrical, data and security contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects throughout New Zealand. We are looking for an Electrical BIM Designer / Coordinator to join our Auckland team and support the production and coordination of accurate, buildable electrical models and drawings.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an electrical building services background who has BIM capability within a strong project delivery environment.

About the role

Reporting Auckland Regional Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the design and coordination of electrical services in a 3D BIM environment. You will work closely with engineers, project teams and other disciplines to ensure models and drawings are accurate, coordinated and ready for construction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing accurate models for electrical services
• Producing installation and construction drawings from BIM models
• Ensuring drawings and models are coordinated with building elements and other services
• Checking your own work to ensure it is accurate, practical and buildable
• Working closely with CLE project delivery teams
• Liaising with internal team members and external stakeholders as required
• Following company BIM standards, processes and protocols
• Participating in BIM coordination meetings as your skills develop
• Adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures at all times

What we are looking for To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

• Experience in Electrical drafting, design documentation or coordination within building services
• A working knowledge of electrical systems used across Commercial, Industrial, Data, Security and Infrastructure projects
• Previous AutoCAD experience, with Revit MEP experience an advantage
• Experience in Clash Coordination with Navisworks, ACC and Revizto
• Experience in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Project
• Experience in document sharing platforms Aconex and Procore
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality documentation
• Good communication and coordination skills
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work well under pressure
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
