Tradestaff Global is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced QUALIFIED ELECTRICIANS for upcoming commercial construction projects across remote Pacific Island locations.

Opportunities may come up at short notice or be planned well in advance, so we’re building a strong talent pool of reliable, experienced tradespeople ready to go when projects kick off.

THE ROLE:

This is a varied commercial carpentry position on remote island construction projects. Work will include a mix of:

• Commercial new build electrical installations.
• Cable tray, conduit & wiring installations.
• Switchboard installation, fit-off & testing.
• Maintenance & repair work on existing systems.
• Fault finding & general site electrical support.
• Working within multi-trade teams in remote, logistically challenging environments.

You’ll need to be comfortable working across different tasks and adapting to changing site requirements.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

These are FIFO-style deployments where you will work intensively on site during your rotation, followed by extended time back home.

While final schedules are yet to be confirmed, indicative rotation options may include:

• 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
• 4 weeks on / 1 week off.
• 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off.

Work weeks are expected to be full-time onsite with longer days typical of remote project delivery (up to approx. 80 hours per week depending on project requirements).

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT?

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We want experienced electricians who are comfortable working in remote & challenging environments. You will need to have:

• A current NZ Electrical Practising Licence (essential).
• Strong commercial construction experience.
• Ability to work in remote, high-output project environments.
• Solid work ethic, reliability & team mindset.
• Good fitness levels for hot & humid work environments.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks (medical, drug & alcohol & police checks).
• Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
