Water Industry General Installation / Labourer Position
Fixed term: 5 month contract
WaterForce is a leading irrigation and pumping company with branches throughout New Zealand.
We have a full time, fixed term contract position available in our Ohoka branch. Due to the recent weather events our team requires another person to assist with the current workload. We would also like to hear from anyone that has experience with fixing centre pivots, but if you haven't that is also fine.
Key responsibilities:
- Field installation of systems - pumps, pipelines, valves, and control systems
- General service work
- To work as a team member, and be considerate of others
- Must always comply with the current Health and Safety policies and practices
- To operate all machinery, vehicles, and other equipment with care
- To help keep worksites, vehicles, and our work premises clean and tidy
- Use of hand tools, and machinery to complete job tasks
- Picking up, and delivery to site of all irrigation related equipment
- General yard duties, and any other reasonable task that is required
Key attributes:
- Fit and physically capable, as some heavy lifting may be required
- Be a team player, and treat all staff, and clients with respect
- Honest and hardworking
- Able to work unsupervised, as well as with a team
- Ability to get the job done (able to work extra hours when necessary)
- Good mechanical aptitude
