We have an opportunity for an experienced Supervisor (Transmission) to join Downer's team based in Palmerston North.
In this role, you'll plan, schedule and coordinate field employees, subcontractors, plant and equipment to deliver transmission work programmes safely, on time and to a high-quality standard. You'll balance operational delivery with strong safety leadership, customer focus and financial awareness to ensure work is completed in line with contract and business expectations.
You'll work closely with key stakeholders to optimise resources, manage daily work activities, respond to escalated field issues and participate in after-hours standby support as required.

You're an experienced transmission professional and people leader who takes pride in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes. You're organised, calm under pressure and confident leading teams in a complex operational environment.
You will bring:
- Level 4 qualification as a Transmission Line Mechanic (preferred)
- Proven hands-on experience in transmission line installation and maintenance
- Previous experience leading or supervising field teams
- Strong knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements
- The ability to plan and manage work programmes, resources and priorities
- Good communication skills, with the ability to complete reports and documentation
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions
