Exterior Plasterer – Rockcote Systems

About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Exterior Plasterer for ongoing work in Ashburton and the wider Canterbury region. This is a hands-on role applying exterior solid-plaster and render systems, with Rockcote exterior plastering experience essential. You will be working from plans and specifications to deliver high-quality finishes across a range of active construction sites, with immediate starts available for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities *Prepare and clean surfaces and substrates for exterior plastering *Mix plaster, cement, render and proprietary coating compounds to the correct consistency *Apply base coats, mesh / reinforcing, and decorative and protective exterior finishes by hand and trowel *Apply and finish Rockcote exterior plastering systems to manufacturer specification *Work safely from scaffold and access equipment *Patch, repair and finish exterior plastered surfaces *Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site health & safety requirements

What We’re Looking For *Minimum 3 years’ verifiable exterior plastering experience (verifiable via references and employment history) *Proven hands-on Rockcote exterior plastering systems experience (essential) *Sound knowledge of exterior plastering preparation, application and finishing techniques *Ability to work safely at height and on scaffold *Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications *Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team *Good understanding of site health & safety practices

Requirements *Must pass pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing *Own basic hand tools preferred *Reliable transport to and from site *Valid working rights in New Zealand (Citizen, Resident, or appropriate Work Visa) *Ability to provide relevant work references

What We Offer *Full-time, ongoing work (at least 30 hours per week) *Pay rate of $28.00 – $33.00 per hour (NZD), based on experience and licensing *Opportunity to work on a variety of projects across Canterbury *Supportive team environment and consistent pipeline of work
