The OpportunityOur client is expanding their plumbing team to support a growing pipeline of commercial projects across the Manawatu and is now seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber/Drainlayer to step into a Foreman-level role. This position combines hands-on plumbing and drainlaying work with team leadership, project oversight, and the chance to help shape the next generation of apprentices.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support plumbing and drainlaying projects across commercial new builds, replacements, and varied construction sites.
- Manage labour, materials, and scheduling while ensuring projects run smoothly, safely, and to quality standards.
- Mentor, train, and support apprentices and junior staff, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Work directly with clients, contractors, suppliers, and the wider site team to maintain strong, professional relationships.
- Step in on the tools as needed, with occasional crossover into other areas such as roofing or general construction support.
- Maintain weekly reporting, documentation, and clear communication with project stakeholders.

What You'll Bring
- Qualified Plumber/Drainlayer with 4+ years' experience in commercial or mixed construction work.
- Confidence supervising others and experience guiding apprentices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different project types.
- Excellent communication, reliability, and a high standard of workmanship.
- Full NZ Driver's Licence + PGDB licence.
- Ability to pass MOJ and pre-employment drug testing.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am-5:00 pm
Occasional weekend work during peak periods
