Water/Pump/Irrigation Technician

Based: Tauranga

WaterForce is a leading water company with branches throughout New Zealand. We proudly service the agriculture, viticulture, and horticultural industries, as well as residential, and commercial clients.

We're looking for a motivated Water / Pump / Irrigation Technician to join our small supportive team in Tauranga. This is a permanent, full time role offering variety, flexibility, and the chance to build a long-term career within our nationwide business.

What the role involves:

  • Working closely with teammates and customers to deliver excellent service, and communication
  • Service, maintenance, and commissioning of pumps, controls, water meters, telemetry systems, and irrigation
  • Assisting with installation projects across the region
  • Promoting planned maintenance, and building strong client relationships
  • Recording accurate information in our Asset Manager system
  • Participating in rostered on-call work and overtime as required

What we're looking for:

  • A practical, hands on person with strong mechanical, and/or electrical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Honest, hardworking, and reliable, with great attention to detail
  • Well organised, methodical, and safety focused
  • Comfortable working independently when required, but thrives as part of a team
  • Computer literate - able to manage emails, reports, and system updates
  • Full NZ driver's license (essential)
  • Industry experience (5+ years preferred but not essential)
