Vacuum / Jetting Truck Operator - Trainee

Hydrovac Limited is looking to hire Trainee Operator – Drivers to join our hard-working team of vacuum and jetting truck operators. Full training provided but a Full Class 1 license is required to be successful in this role.

About the role

The role is based in the South Auckland Region, permanent full-time, with a minimum guaranteed hours will be 40 hours per week with overtime available. Your salary package will include competitive hourly rates.

As an Operator - Driver, your role will be mainly operating HydroVac plant and truck to service our customers in an efficient and safe manner and to complete duties as specified below. This includes yard duties and any other job/task required on a client’s site or base.

Maneuvering vehicles into positions; pre-starts and documentation; ensuring plant equipment/truck is under control, maintained and operated in a professional and safe manner, which may include water blasting and Hydro-flushing of pipes and pits, vacuum loading and suction of waste products contaminated & non-contaminated, safe disposal of waste products, clearance of pipe blockages & CCTV, hydro-excavation, stormwater maintenance, sewer/septic maintenance and grease trap/converter maintenance.

About you

You must have at least 1 year’s vehicle driving experience with a Class 1 leading to Class 2 or Class 4 NZ Driver’s License. We also encourage those with a current Class 2 or 4 to apply
