PTS Logistics is hunting for an experienced Logistics Dispatcher to join our Palmerston North depot. You need to have an eye for detail, the ability to plan and provide delivery solutions for our customers and have top notch communication skills. This role requires a quick, solutions focused thinker with the skills to solve complex planning of our freight and vehicles. Your confidence to independently make decisions, your experience with heavy machinery and agricultural equipment and being a strong team player will set you above the rest.
With a minimum of 50 hours per week, your days will be busy:
- Managing and dispatching our fleet and drivers
- Ensuring efficient use and allocation of our resources
- Engaging in professional and helpful communication with our customers
- Rostering, allocating and coordinating daily activities
- Forecasting and planning activities
What we need from you:
- Knowledge of the logistics/transport industry
- Experience with heavy machinery and agricultural equipment
- Solutions focused mindset
- 2-3 Years of dispatch experience
PTS Logistics, Auto Logistics, Menefy Trucking, and Maskill Contracting are part of the PTS Group, established in 1976 with one tow truck. The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a Ministry of Justice check. Applicants for this position must have NZ Residency, Citizenship or NZ work visa with no conditions.
